The preparation of the KNX installation is completed.
Integration in SARAH

Hardware → Gateways → KNX
Activating the KNX gateway
Add Endpoint.

Enter the IP address of the KNX IP interface.

Note: SARAH does not validate the KNX-IP. Make sure that the IP address is correct.

Click on "Activate gateway".

Select "Click me" → "Edit" → Give the address list a name → Select the appropriate XML file of the installation.

Structure XML file:

The structure of the XML file is adopted by SARAH as it is programmed in the KNX-ETS.

→ The group addresses of lamps, for example, are grouped under Light etc.

When programming KNX, make sure that you work according to the current standards.
Open the uploaded list (+) & select an area (Light / Shadow / HVAC / etc.) from which you want to create a device for SARAH.

Select all group addresses of the device and then select the type of device to be created.

Depending on the ETS configuration, not all addresses are required for SARAH.
If lights can be dimmed via push-buttons, the corresponding addresses for SARAH are not required.
The bit values are converted into percentages.
Make sure that the corresponding addresses are clearly labeled.
Assign the devices to the corresponding rooms so that they appear in the app at the correct location.

Then insert all installed devices into SARAH.
Restrictions and special features
Use of buttons as triggers for automations - User-defined scene buttons

KNX buttons in SARAH can also be used as triggers for automations to easily create user-defined scene buttons.

Application areas are e.g. on an 8-way Feller push button the lower two push buttons as triggers for automations.

In the ETS, group addresses for the short and long pressure of the two buttons must be defined on the button.

In SARAH Web UI, pushbutton devices are created and assigned to the appropriate room.

One automation per click (short/long) is created in the app. The button and short or long pressure must be selected as the trigger.
Lighting scenes on KNX or Philipps HUE devices, shading devices and multimedia devices such as SONOS or URL calls can then be used as actions.
This makes it very easy to create user-defined scenes for watching TV in the living room, bedroom, children's room, kitchen and other rooms.
